Electrical News by State

Choose a state for a current electrical contracting brief.

State briefs are requested in ChatGPT when you open the button. Selecting a state does not change your Washington Monday schedule.

Every Monday morning • Pacific time

First scheduled briefing: October 12, 2026. Briefings open in ChatGPT using the account that scheduled them. This screen links to the briefing conversation; it does not automatically import reports into Amp-T.

What your briefing covers

  • Electrical code changes and Washington amendments
  • Permitting rules and inspection practices
  • Utility service and metering requirements
  • Contractor licensing and certification changes

Each verified update includes what changed, where it applies, effective dates, official sources, and practical action to consider. Proposals are identified separately from adopted requirements.

The Washington Monday briefing prioritizes Puyallup, Pierce County, Tacoma Power, PSE, Federal Way, Seattle and King County, plus statewide L&I changes. Other state requests cover that state’s authorities and utilities.

Calendar

Appointments saved here stay in this browser for your company and sign-in. Add a copy to your phone with Google Calendar or a calendar file. Phone calendar events are not imported here; edits and deletions do not sync automatically.

How to add to your phone calendar

Google / Android: open the Google Calendar draft, choose the account and calendar synced to your phone, and press Save. This also works on iPhone when that Google account is enabled in Calendar.

Apple Calendar or another calendar app: share or download the .ics file, then open/import it and confirm Add. Available import options depend on your phone and browser. If iPhone does not offer Add, send the file to yourself in Mail and open the attachment, or import it using Calendar on a Mac. Calendar export contains the contact details and notes above; review them before sharing. Customer email is included as contact information; it does not send an invitation.

Adding again may create duplicates. Change or delete the copy in your phone calendar separately. This page cannot read your phone calendar, check availability, or confirm the external save. Clear browser data and the appointments saved only here will be lost.
